Most bikers will use on Disc, as the shackle is designed so it is detached from the lock body, it is very easy to attach on the disc and safe to use, when returning to your bike, if you seat yourself on the bike without removing the lock the movement caused will sound a 3 bleep alarm alerting you that you have the lock on the disc. |

How it works with chains |
| Chains are the weakest part of any security, when bolt croppers are used 9 out of 10 attempts will be to cut free the chain and not the lock, when the lock is attached to the chain, it will sense vibration and increase sensitivity thus alarming the whole chain, when the chain is tampered the alarm will sound |

| > Insert key, turn in a clockwise direction and remove shackle |
| |
| > Replace shackle into lock with groove towards key port |
| |
| > The lock will "beep" at this point remove the key and the alarm will set after 15 seconds |
| |
| > When the lock is vibrated twice within 5 seconds the alarm will sound. The 5 second delay allows the lock to be opened by key without sounding |
| |
| > The alarm sounds in 10 second intervals. The alarm will keep sounding with constant movement or vibration |
| |

| NOTE! To use as an ordinary padlock simply insert the shackle with the groove away from the key port. If using on moving vehicles or equipment use as an ordinary padlock until stationary then alarm may be set. Once stopped the alarm will re-set after 35 seconds. |

Battery Replacement
To replace the batteries remove the 2 screws in the shackle holes (see picture), remove cover and replace the batteries (6xA76/LR44 1.5V). Be sure to pay attention to polarity and that cover goes on same way it came off. Batteries should last 6 months under normal operating situations. |
